Frequently Asked Questions & Friendly Reminders

Do I need a ticket?

Yes. Feast & Field’s tickets are priced on a sliding scale ranging from $5 – $25 for Adults; children 12 years and younger are free. Ticket sales support both BarnArts and the farms’ expenses related to Thursday events. That said, nobody is turned away for lack of ability to pay. If you can’t afford a ticket but would really like to attend, please reach out to us. All are welcome, always. Feast & Field is a staple of the Central Vermont community, and we rely on your generosity to continue hosting live outdoor music all summer long.

If you purchase a ticket online, please screenshot your emailed receipt to show proof of purchase at the gate as we have poor cell reception on the farm!

Can I bring my dog?

We ask that dogs stay at home. If you must bring them, they need to be leashed and are only permitted in the parking lot area and your car, not near the market tents or hills where people gather. This event takes place on a working farm with animals of our own; cows are grazing and vegetables are growing. Dogs can spook the cows, and hurt the growing crops. Please be mindful to clean up after your dogs when walking them in the parking lot.

Can I bring my own alcohol & beer?

No outside alcoholic drinks are allowed. This is a Vermont State Law. Alcoholic drinks, and non-alcoholic drinks, are sold by Fable Farm & Fermentory. Please drink responsibly, and watch out for your neighbors. If you see anything unsafe we should be aware of, please notify someone behind the counter in the market tent.

Can I bring my own food?

No! We do not allow outside food. We have a variety of fresh & organic food available for purchase at the event that is grown, harvested, and raised right here on this land. By purchasing food at the event you are supporting small family operations and our community. This event takes place on a working farm, our ecosystem, and being able to regulate food waste, is very important to us!

Do you allow lawn chairs?

Yes! We strongly encourage our visitors to bring their own chairs & blankets. You can set up anywhere in the orchard for comfort during the musical performances. We have a few picnic tables, wooden chairs, and fire pits with bench seating throughout the orchard, all of which are first come, first served.

Can I have an event here?

Yes! If you are interested in celebrating a special event at our site, we would be happy to talk to you about hosting. Fable Farm has been the destination for many events including:

Catered Events, Fundraisers, Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Workshops, and Concerts.

If you are interested in holding a wedding or special event, contact fablefarm@gmail.com.

Reminders

Feast & Field is a family friendly event held on a working farm. Please be aware that the fences around the farm are electric. Most should be off during market hours, but as a general precaution, please avoid fences.

Our apple orchard is a space for you and your loved ones to relax and have fun; we ask that the apples and the delicate tree branches are respected during your time on the farm!

Families, please remember to keep an eye on those little ones!

All Feast & Field events are rain or shine! We have tent coverage for the band and guests.

If you need disability parking, please email us!
